Abstract

The purpose of this study is to increase students' insight and experience in reading the Qur'an and to motivate students to be more diligent in reading the Qur'an in elementary schools. This research was conducted at MI Faser Dusun Panglungan, Jombang Regency, East Java Province. This type of research is this research method using the PAR (Participatory Research) method. The data collection method used in this research is the method of observation and interviews. The results showed that students were able to read the Qur'an better by starting to recognize the makhorijul letters and also reading recitation of tajwid. In addition, students can also read the Qur'an with the distinctive tone of the tartil method. It can be concluded that the tartil method in improving the ability to read the Qur'an is very good and can be accepted by students
