Assistance to Madrasa in Creating a Clean and Healthy Learning Environment through Integrated Waste Management in Education

This service research was aimed at creating a clean and healthy learning environment for Islamic Primary School (madrasa ibtidaiyah/MI) Nurul Huda through integrated waste management in education. The method was Participatory Action Research. The implementation stages are participation, action, and research. Mentoring programs could create a healthy madrasa environment and contextual and holistic environmental education. This condition was realized after the implementation of the Gerik program which was supported by the madrasa community. The program was meaningful in building environmental awareness in early childhood students through learning real actions to manage waste
