Strengthening the Economic Resilience of KWT Families through the Bank Ziska Program; Case Study in Carangrejo Village, Sampung District, Ponorogo Regency

Abstract

This research is based on the implementation of Community Service. Departing from a case study in Carangrejo Village, Sampung District, Ponorogo Regency. The majority of the residents of Carangrejo village are lower middle class. Knowledge of low financial literacy makes many people trapped in debts with high interest rates, not only usury accounts payable but they are also trapped in fraudulent investments. From the survey results, it turns out that the people of Carangrejo village do not understand sharia microfinance institutions as an alternative to the capital they need. So there is a need for education about sharia microfinance institutions. So in this community service activity, the author took the initiative to introduce the Carangrejo village community to the Ziska Bank program which is shaded by LAZISMU East Java and implemented by BMT Hasanah Ponorogo by targeting KWT Carangrejo Village. The selection of KWT is not without problems, because women's groups are more likely to be empowered. The results of this study show that the enthusiasm of KWT members towards the BankZiska program is very large. As a follow-up, the BankZiska program will be applied to members of the Carangrejo Village KWT
