Membangun Dari Dalam Penguatan Moderasi Beragama melalui Pendekatan Living Values Education (LVE) Bagi Mahasiswa Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Suska Riau

Meskipun masyarakat Muslim Indonesia terkenal dengan karakteristiknya yang moderat dan inklusif, namun belakangan ini terdapat kecenderungan yang dikenal dengan istilah ‘conservative turn’. Gerakan-gerakan kelompok radikal cenderung menunjukkan pengaruh yang semakin kuat dalam kehidupan sosial dan politik di Indonesia, bahkan sudah masuk dalam dunia Pendidikan, terutama Pendidikan Tinggi Agama Islam. Berbagai survei menunjukkan gejala peningkatan intoleransi dan radikalisme keagamaan di kalangan siswa dan mahasiswa. Sebagai bangsa yang majemuk, sikap dan perilaku intoleran dan radikal di kalangan masyarakat tentu saja mengganggu keragaman dan persatuan bangsa serta mengancam kontinuitas demokrasi dan kehidupan beragama yang ramah. Pengabdian ini, diarahkan pada Ma’had Al-Jamiah UIN Suska Riau. Sebagai Lembaga yang membimbing Sebagian Mahasiswa di bidang keagamaan. Pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian Tindakan (action research). 20 Mahasantri di pilih secara acak, kemudian diberikan pemahaman melalui pendekatan menghidupkan nilai (living values education, LVE).
