Assistance and Preparation to HOTs Test Integrated Local Wisdom in Increasing Social Sciences Teacher Pedagogical Competence

Abstract

Assistance in preparing HOTs tests is needed to improve teacher skills, and this activity synergizes with the 2013 curriculum development policy. Strengthening the application of local wisdom values is carried out in this mentoring activity. This activity aims to assist in preparing HOTs tests oriented toward local wisdom in improving the pedagogic competence of social studies teachers. The assistance took place at MTs Al Ma'unah, Cirebon Indonesia, through workshops, monitoring, and evaluation activities for FGDs. There are four stages carried out in this Community-Based Research (CBR) mentoring method, including; 1) laying the foundation, 2) research planning, 3) gathering and analyzing information, and 4) acting on finding. Data collection techniques using pedagogic competency assessment, interviews, and observations. The analytical technique used is triangulation. The results of this assistance can answer problems that occur in partners (Madrasah) that teachers' understanding of the HOTs-based learning evaluation system is still very lacking. The teacher has not been able to plan HOTs tests oriented to local wisdom and analyze the items. Meanwhile, after the program is implemented, teachers can arrange HOTs tests oriented to the value of local wisdom and contribute to improving pedagogic competence
