This article examines efforts to counter religious radicalism by strengthening religious moderation among interfaith youth in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra. As an area often highlighted in the context of religious tolerance and harmony, religious radicalism among youth in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, is like a fire in the husk. This article study uses the action research method, where researchers are directly involved in interventions to strengthen the capacity and role of interfaith youth in strengthening religious moderation. The results of this study indicate that strengthening religious moderation, especially for interfaith youth, is one of the important efforts in extinguishing the fire in the chaff of religious radicalism in Bukittinggi City. Therefore, research on youth's importance in strengthening religious moderation needs to be emphasized more. As the dominant population in Indonesia, including in Bukittinggi, youth have great potential to become 'victims' of religious radicalism. However, with the intensification of understanding and more adequate spaces for inter-religious encounters, they also have great potential to become effective agents of religious moderation.
