Community Service in Religious Moderation: The Study on the Implementation of KKN (Community Service for Students) at Islamic State University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau 2022

This study aimed to describe the implementation of Islamic education based on religious moderation through KKN (community service for students) at the Islamic State University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The type of the research was qualitative research by using a case study model. The result of the study proved that Implementation of KKN (community service for students) in UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau divided into preparation, the program implementation, and Evaluation. In Preparation step, LPPM formed a Survey Team to determine the location of KKN activities. The Survey Team applied for the Regent/Mayor's permit to obtain a sub-district recommendation for the location KKN activities. Then the team coordinated with the sub-district to determine the location of student KKN. In the Program Implementation, the community service has core programs and scientific programs, and additional programs. In Evaluation Stage the students must prepare individual report, group report, District report, and article draft.
