Abstract

The 21st century has witnessed changes in almost every aspect of human life brought by technological advancements. Teachers need to keep up with the rapid changes by always striving for professional growth and development. One strategy to develop teacher professionalism is to "disseminate" teachers’ knowledge and teaching practices. The government also requires teachers’ academic publication if they want to pursue promotion from IIIb to higher civil servant ranks. Indeed, they need to publish their academic works. However, they have to compete with lecturers and researchers with long academic writing tradition for a place in a journal publication. Therefore, a team of lecturers from English Language Teaching Department, IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon took the initiative to conduct a community service program aiming for providing teachers with publication facility by developing a scientific journal for teachers. This community service used Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The process of OJS-based journal development has started since July 2022. The journal is named Journal of English Teachers (JETs). The English teacher association (MGMP) in Cirebon Regency has actively participated in the process. They are going to take roles as members of the editorial board.
