Pembentukan KWT Sebagai Wujud Pemberdayaan Perempuan dalam Pemanfaatan Potensi dan Realisasi Toga di Desa Wanasari

Abstract

The potential of the village, such as the size of the yard in each house and problems regarding TOGA land, as well as housewives and young women who do not have permanent jobs, are the main problems and opportunities to be resolved. Flexible time in managing plants has become a habit in itself in filling daily life. TOGA or Family Medicinal Plants can be planted in the yard of the house. So the purpose of this service research is to realize the realization of village problems and potentials as well as great opportunities for the female population in empowerment by forming the Women Farmers Group (KWT). The method used is the service method with open interviews and observations, based on empowerment with 4 cycles in stages, namely initial socialization, regional mapping, planning and organizing as well as implementation with the inauguration of the Gunung Djati KWT Mot\acute{e}kar carried out from July 25 until August 25. As many as 40 KWT members were collected, consisting of a maximum of 70% who came from RT 008 and others under 20%. The size of the yard varies with the most extensive land of 30 m2. Achievements in forming KWT must be sustainable with assistance from the Agricultural Extension Agency (BPP), as well as equal distribution of members in each RT in Wanasari Village.
